Admission to the Celebration of Confirmation

(Indications for those who wish to book the celebration of Confirmation, having completed the preparation programme in the parish and received the subsequent authorization from the Parish Priest).

Adults (aged 18 and over) who have completed the preparation programme in their own or another parish and have a certificate issued by the parish priest are admitted to the celebration of Confirmation.

For those who ask for Confirmation and are cohabiting, the Italian Episcopal Conference Decree No. 8 – Year 1991 stipulates that they will receive Confirmation after having celebrated Marriage.

To be admitted to the celebration of Confirmation, it is necessary to book by going to the Sacristy, tel. 0669886433 (from 08.00-12.00 / 16.00-18.00, except on Saturday afternoon and Sunday), presenting the following documents:

1) Declaration of preparation issued by the parish priest or a priest;

2) Baptismal certificate of the confirmands;

3) Certificate of eligibility as godfather or godmother issued by their parish priest;

4) For those coming from another diocese (i.e. not from the Diocese of Rome) it is necessary that the certificate issued by the parish priest be accompanied by an authorization from the Bishop's Curia consenting to confirmation outside the diocese (authentication of the priest's signature is not sufficient).
